Terra Fértil is a dance performed for the dead where the dancer evokes memory and ancestry. It’s based on a ritual that materialises when he dances with his hands and feet on the floor, while carrying seven white candles which are glued and alight on his back. His body movements are governed and modified by his reaction to the candle wax as it melts onto his skin.
